Sylvia Acevedo is a rocket scientist and an award-winning entrepreneur who served on the White House Commission for Educational Excellence for Hispanics and is currently the CEO of the Girl Scouts of the USA. She has worked for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory on Voyager II’s flyby of Jupiter and on the Solar Polar/Probe missions. Her new book is “Path to the Stars: My Journey from Girl Scout to Rocket Scientist” (Clarion), a memoir about her path from rocket scientist to becoming head of the Girl Scouts.
