Australian writer Thomas Keneally is best known for writing “Schindler’s Ark,” which became the Academy Award-winning film “Schindler’s List,” directed by Steven Spielberg. The book won the Booker Prize – one of the most prestigious literary awards in the English-speaking world. Keneally is also a playwright and writer of nonfiction. His latest novel, “The Daughters of Mars” (Atria/Simon & Schuster), is set during World War I and has received international critical praise. The Telegraph noted that Keneally attempted “something few other authors would aim for, let alone achieve: genuine grandeur.”
