Jill Abramson is executive editor of The New York Times, where she has worked since 1997. Abramson is the first woman in this role in the newspaper’s 160-year history. She also writes about life with her golden retriever puppy, Scout, in her Puppy Diaries blog and subsequent book, the inspiration for “Ready or Not, Here Comes Scout!” (Viking Juvenile), written with her sister, Jane O’Connor.
