Speaker Biography:
Nevada Barr won both the Agatha and Anthony awards in 1993 for best first mystery for “Track of the Cat.”  The book was the first in the Anna Pigeon series, which features a female park ranger as the protagonist and draws on Nevada Barr’s early experiences working in the national parks and her interest in the environmental movement. She wrote 15 subsequent best-selling books in the series.  Barr, who attended the inaugural book festival in 2001, appeared in the Mysteries & Thrillers pavilion in 2005.
