Speaker Biography:
From the early 1990s, when he attended the University of Maryland, Jeff Kinney knew he wanted to be a cartoonist. The campus paper ran his comic strip “Igdoof.” In 1998, he began to formulate ideas for “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” He published daily installments of the “Diary” online before releasing it as a book, which became a New York Times best-seller. He followed that success with a series of “Diary” books.
