Speaker Biography:
Ted Kooser was the 13th Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress (2004-2006) and the first Poet Laureate chosen from the Great Plains. A Midwesterner born in Iowa, during his second term, he won the Pulitzer Prize for his book of poems “Delights & Shadows” (2004) He is the author of 12 collections of poetry and Presidential professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
