Patricia MacLachlan has written numerous critically acclaimed books for children of all ages. They include “Arthur, For the Very First Time,” winner of the Golden Kite Award for fiction; “Sarah, Plain and Tall,” winner of the 1986 Newbery Medal and the subject of a popular television movie series; and “Fiona Loves the Night,” recipient of the National Humanities Medal.
