Speaker Biography:
Terry Pratchett published his first story when he was 13 and had his first commercial sale four years later. He is the author of the best-selling Discworld series that includes “The Colour of Magic” (1983), “Making Money” (2007) and “Unseen Academicals” (2009). His novels have sold more than 65 million copies worldwide in 37 languages. He was named an Order of the British Empire (for services to literature) in the Queen's Birthday Honours of 1998 and was knighted in the 2009 New Year Honours.
