Guidelines for NACO, SACO, and CONSER Funnel Coordinators
As a result of recent conversations held during the 2009 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, the PCC leadership became aware of general queries stemming from component program funnel coordinators. To address these and other overarching funnel coordination issues, the PCC Secretariat wants to reiterate and review the responsibilities for the position of NACO, SACO, and CONSER funnel project coordinators.
- Coordinators must be experienced and independent contributors in the relevant PCC constituent program, NACO, SACO, or CONSER
- In the case of newly-formed NACO funnels, coordinators may undergo training at the same time as the funnel participants; however, the NACO coordinator must agree to follow the guidelines stated below after the initial training
- Coordinators must be willing to provide training for its members, or must work with the Cooperative Programs Section to explore other training options
- Coordinators must be willing to review the work of the funnel members
- Organization of a funnel is the responsibility of both the funnel coordinator and the PCC Secretariat
- Coordinators agree to be contact points for institutions wishing to join an existing funnel
- Funnel membership recruitment is a shared responsibility between the funnel coordinator and the PCC Secretariat
