	I’m very pleased to see you all here today even if this is a mandatory session, it hopefully will help you all to understand the things that are changed in the new 2002 revision of AACR2.  LC has decided to implement these changes on December 1, 2002 – in just a few weeks.  We had originally targeted Sept. 1, but after consulting with other libraries and the bibliographic utilities, we adjusted to the December 1 date.
	The implementation date may be different in other libraries although many PCC participants are implementing the 2002 revision the same time as LC.
