These proposals are provided as a representative sample to show the changes being made to scope notes on headings for films and television programs. The scope notes are being modified to clarify their use as topical subject headings. Changes to approximately 25 other headings with similar notes will be made offlist.

Frafra (African people); Nankanse language; Songs, Nankanse

Unless there are clear reasons to the contrary, it is preferred to use the same term in the headings for an ethnic group and for its language. Given that the citations in this case showed multiple possibilities for matching terms that might be used for this people and its language, it was unclear why different terms were being proposed for a new heading for the people and a changed heading for the language. The proposals may be resubmitted.

Moomins (Fictitious characters)

The information in the proposal was insufficient to explain why the form of the qualifier in the heading should be changed, or to support the form of the proposed added UF reference in Polish. The proposal may be resubmitted.
