SUBJECT HEADINGS

BedZED (Sutton, London, England : Planned community)

The meeting decided that headings for individual planned communities should be established as geographic name headings in the Name Authority File. The Group 1 list of ambiguous entities in the subject and descriptive cataloging documentation will be updated to make this explicit. The proposal was not approved.

Glenluce Abbey (Scotland)

Headings for individual abbeys are established as corporate bodies in the Name Authority File. The proposal was not approved.

Livestock farms, etc.

Livestock farms is potentially an appropriate BT reference to a number of existing headings for which proposed updates did not accompany this group of proposals. The proposals may be resubmitted with the additional change proposals they entail.

Punta Mona (Costa Rica)

This entity appears to be an organization and should be established as a corporate body in the Name Authority File. The proposal was not approved.

Zemstvos--Law and legistation

The meeting felt is was not desirable to establish the subdivision --Law and legistation under a type of legislative body. The proposal was not approved.
