Acariosis

"Acariasis" seems to be the more commonly found form of the term, which refers to an infestation with ticks or mites. It is also called "acaridiasis" or "acarinosis." Since it is the name of a disease, the two proposed UFs and the BT Plant mites are not appropriate. Since the disease can occur in many different plants and animals, the BT Grapes--Diseases and pests is not appropriate. The name for the specific form of the disease caused by the grape rust mite appears to be "russeting acariasis," which might appropriately be established as a separate heading. The proposal may be resubmitted after all of these issues have been addressed.

Longmire (Wash.)

This is the name of a populated place and should be established as a name heading. The proposal to establish it as a subject heading was not approved.
