SUBJECT HEADINGS

Flush toilets

Since most standard toilets flush, the meeting considers it impractical to have a heading specifically for flush toilets. The existing heading Toilets suffices. An upward UF reference from Flush toilets to Toilets will be made, according to the principle laid out in Subject Headings Manual instruction sheet H 373. The proposal was not approved.

Wine industry and globalization

The meeting does not wish to establish the precedent of combining into one heading the concept of globalization with individual industries. The heading for the industry and the heading Globalization should be postcoordinated instead. The proposal was not approved.
