  • 2nd Task Group on Journals in Aggregator Databases -- See the Interim report submitted Oct. 25, 2000, and the
Final report submitted Oct. 23, 2001.

Current/Pending Activities

No task groups are currently active. However, the Standing Committee on Automation has been asked by the Library of Congress to play the lead role in task 4.1 of LC's action plan for Bibliographic Control of Web Resources: "Develop specifications for addressing issues related to record supply and maintenance for aggregated resources to provide mechanisms for: detecting and reporting changes in resource content; changing records; and notifying libraries when changes are made. Communicate the specifications to the vendor community and encourage their adoption." The committee has been asked for a work plan to fulfill this charge. It seems reasonable to suppose that the charge will result in the formation of a new task group.
