SCT Task Group on Integrating Resources Training

Charge
Develop a 2-3 hour training session on the cataloging of integrating resources. The training will cover both electronic and print integrating resources and will refer to the relevant rules and LCRIs. A Powerpoint presentation will be the keystone of the training course with accompanying handouts in order that attendees have some informal documentation to take away with them. It is also expected that the training will include some hands-on exercises. The training will not cover maintenance, record distribution, or authentication issues. The materials developed for this workshop will be used as the basis for the integrating resources documentation for PCC use that is to be developed by the coordinators of the CONSER and BIBCO programs.

Time frame
A prototype workshop is to be presented at the May 2002 BIBCO/CONSER Operations Committee meeting. A final developed workshop is to be delivered by Sept. 1, 2002.
