Pinyin Conversion Project

As of Friday, October 6, 2000, CPSO has nearly completed the manual conversion of subject headings with Wade-Giles forms to pinyin. Revised records for subject headings are being distributed in batches in the regular weekly subject authority distribution. Distribution of all revised records will probably not be completed until early November. Until that date, if you need to assign a subject heading that has not yet been converted and would like to know its eventual form, please contact CPSO (cpso@loc.gov) for confirmation of the form of the converted heading.
