EAD Elements: <imprint> Imprint

Description:

Information relating to the publication or distribution of a work cited in a Bibliographic Reference <bibref>. Can include the place of publication, name of the publisher, and date of publication, encoded as either plain text or wrapped in the <imprint> subelements <publisher> and <date>. It is seldom, if ever, appropriate to use <imprint> in a citation for an unpublished work cited in a <bibref>.

May contain:

#PCDATA, date, emph, extptr, geogname, lb, ptr, publisher
