This letter to his mother is one of the earliest known writings of Winston Churchill. It describes playing on the grounds of Blenheim Palace, home to his grandparents the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough. It has been dated to May 1882, when Winston was just seven years old. In the note Winston describes riding a horse named for the Scottish hero "Rob Roy."		 Object Details:
