Las Hurdes--terra sín pan = Land without bread
Terra sín pan | Land without bread | Unpromised land | Terre sans pain = | Luis Buñuel's Un chien andalou, Land without bread Catalog Record Only
This is Spanish director Luis Buñuel's third film and his only documentary. Immediately banned in Spain, it portrays the everyday lives of indigent peasants in one of the most desolate regions of Spain. The film weaves together the surrealism of Buñuel's prior works and a chillingly simple form to create a moving and horrifying account.
