Budget & Finance Working Group

The FLICC Budget and Finance Working Group is a standing working group. The primary purpose of the group is to assist the FLICC staff in developing an annual budget for FLICC/FEDLINK operations which will support the needs of the FLICC/FEDLINK membership. The budget is presented to the members of FLICC and forwarded to the Library of Congress.

The Budget and Finance Working Group is also responsible for ensuring that the membership receives from FLICC/FEDLINK the best possible service for its financial support of the FLICC. In its role as a link between the FLICC and the FLICC/FEDLINK members, the Budget and Finance Working Group strives to provide to the members the most cost-effective FEDLINK services. In this capacity the working group:

  • conducts financial surveys of FLICC/FEDLINK members to determine their ongoing support for the FEDLINK budget program;
  • makes recommendations to the FLICC/FEDLINK management, the FEDLINK Advisory Council, and the FLICC Executive Board based on the findings of the surveys;
  • works with FLICC/FEDLINK to determine if the current fee structure is equitable for direct pay and transfer pay members in supporting the FEDLINK program;
  • interacts with FLICC/FEDLINK on an ongoing basis to ensure that the fiscal policies approved by the membership are implemented

To join the working group please email fliccfno@loc.gov.
