Baker & Taylor Books (B&T) maintains an extensive inventory of current trade, trade paperback, mass market paperback, library binding, and short and net discount materials. B&T can also provide textbooks in hardcover and paperback. B&T collection development and management services are designed to assist in the building of library collections including: section lists, retrospective purchasing, opening data collections, do-not -exceed funds control, book leasing services, and school selection guides. B&T offers services to support mini-network library organizations in the administration of acquisitions activity. In addition to supplying books, Baker & Taylor offers an extensive collection of audiovisual materials under the current BOA. The "Booking Ahead Library Service" and the "Advance Reference Title Plan" are services provided as well as the Paperback and Audio Parade. OPTIONAL SERVICES: Physical and Technical Processing: B&T can supply shelf-ready processing of books. Customers can request catalog cards or MARC output with Dewey or LC call numbers and LC or Sears subject headings. B&T can supply circulation kits (cards, pockets, and labels), barcodes and cover-ups and reinforced bindings. Recently added B&TMARC Cataloging and Processing services for spoken word audio cassettes. Automated Order Control System: B&T offers a PC based system for order control, B&T Link. For FY2000, deleted "Approval Plans".
