Midwest Library Service's (MLS) specialties include current and retrospective books published and distributed in the U.S. MLS supplies English-language foreign publications and scientific/technical publications. MLS maintains an inventory of current titles in these subject areas and routinely places special orders for items from small and hard-to-locate publishers. Customers can place orders through the mail, telephone, fax, email, or Midwest's online system, ACQess MLS. OPTIONAL SERVICES: MLS offers an approval plan with comprehensive coverage of university press publishing. Customers may establish profiles based on subject, non -subject, and publisher. Processing: Midwest can supply shelf-ready processing of books. Cataloging data is available in card and label sets, MARC tape, or diskette. Dewey, LC, and NLM call numbers and LC, Sears, and NLM subject headings are also available. Circulation kits (card, pocket, label), barcodes, and paperback cover-ups or bindings are also available.
