NetLibrary brings eContent to the patrons of your libraries by providing access to eBbooks and eAudiobooks in a wide variety of subject areas from the world's leading publishers. eBooks and eAudiobooks can be purchased individually or as collections specially developed by a Collection Development librarian. NetLibrary also offers yearly subscriptions to eAudiobook collections. The requested titles are delivered through the NetLibrary Platform to a desktop via any open browser-based internet system. The NetLibrary Platform allows full-text searching, copy, and paste privileges, and provides "Notes" and "Favorites" options. For purchased titles, access is granted on a one book-one user basis: for each copy, the patron has sole access to that particular title as long as he or she is actively viewing the title. The current collection includes over 1930,000 eBooks from over 48500 publishers and over 54,000 eAudiobooks. The more popular subject areas include Business and Economics; Information Technology, Science, Engineering and Industry; Mathematics and Science, Social Sciences; Military History and Information; Foreign and International Relations; Middle East Studies; Terrorism and Homeland Security; Criminal Justice, Law and Medicine and Health. NetLibrary also offers many comprehensive reference collections and databases with Encyclopedias, Directories, Atlases, etc. The ownership model means that the library owns the eBook and NetLibrary provides access via a hosting fee that is either billed annually or as a one time fee charged at the time of purchase. Please contact your NetLibrary representative for details of these offerings.
