TO: FEDLINK MembersFROM: Susan M. Tarr, Executive Director, FLICCSUBJECT: New Training Agreement and Training Account InformationFEDLINK has recently established a training agreement with Amigos Library Services, Inc., the OCLC regional network for the southwestern United States. FEDLINK also has separate training contracts with four other regional networksBCR (BC), CAPCON (CN), Nylink (NY) and OCLC Western (OC*). In the past, with mulltiple networks invoicing against one FT account, members were unable to determine their account balances accurately. Now, when members wish to attend training at a library network, they establish a separate account for each network so they can transfer monies to cover the cost of anticipated training classes from the library network of their choice. With separate vendor accounts, training from the networks will no longer be billed against the general FEDLINK FT account. Only FEDLINK training and FLICC events will be billed to your FT account. To have Amigos bill your FEDLINK account, please establish a vendor account using the FEDLINK Vendor ID AM. Be sure to establish the account prior to registering with Amigos for any training. FEDLINK FT AccountsMembers may also elect to establish or continue funding their FEDLINK FT accounts in FY2002 to cover costs for FLICC events, registration fees for conferences, such as Computers in Libraries (CILs), or for on-site training with FEDLINK staff. Members in the Washington, D.C. area find having an FT account convenient for attending FLICC and FEDLINK events.
