The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) online analysis of global events are widely used by government institutions to provide reports to senior government officials, train individuals with international responsibilities, support international budgeting activities and butress the intelligence gathering capabilities of the Federal government. The EIU publishes the well-known and authoritative Country Reports, covering 195 countries and updated monthly. EIU also provides regional and country -specific forecasts of political, economic and business conditions as well as The ViewsWire, a daily intelligence report on every country in the world. The Risk Wire assesses and analyses, on a daily basis, the risk levels of violence, government instability, economic disorder and other operational factors in key countries. The EIU offers Country Data, with over 1.5 million datapoints, including forecasts, on macroeconomic conditions in 150 countries; and Market Indicators and Forecasts, an analysis of market size and key industries in 60 countries. All reports are archived to at least 1996. The EIU also offers online access to its parent publication, The Economist.
