FLICC Working Group Preservation and Binding |
Mission Top
The FLICC Preservation and Binding Working Group is an ad hoc working group organized to develop strategies for the preservation of federal library resources. To that end, the group will engage in such activities as the following:Initiatives Top
- champion the implementation of federal policies and regulations that support preservation programs;
- assess the preservation and information needs of federal libraries and of their users;
- promote preservation awareness through educational programs;
- promote development of disaster plans;
- foster and promote cooperation with other national and regional preservation groups;
- identify funding from inside and outside the federal government for preservation of federal library resources;
- establish preservation information resources for federal libraries and information centers; and,
- work with GPO to: 1) document the range of binding requirements of federal libraries and information centers; 2) formulate library binding contracts; and, 3) provide quality assurance standards.
