Rutgers oral history archives collectionRepository: Rutgers University. Special Collections and University Archives
Collection Description (CRHP): While the interviews housed in this archive centrally focus on the experiences of war veterans, the interviews with Nancy Petersen Godfrey, Harry Kranz, Melvin J. Welles, Simeon Moss, and Annette Greenblatt touch on issues related to the civil rights movement.
Collection Description (Extant): The Rutgers Oral History Archives of World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Cold War, directed by Sandra Stewart Holyoak, is an enterprise to record the personal experiences of the men and women who served on the home front and overseas.
It is based on in-depth interviews of individuals who lived through these conflicts, beginning with an initial target group of Rutgers College alumni and Douglass College alumnae (formerly New Jersey College for Women).
