Collection Description (Extant): This collection consists of materials relating to Pomerantz's first book, Where Peachtree Meets Sweet Auburn: A Saga of Race and Family (New York : Scribner, c1996). It includes interviews, interview transcripts, research materials, notebooks and audiovisual materials relating to the history of the Allen and Dobbs families as well as the history of modern Atlanta. Of particular interest are the interviews and interview transcripts, which recount the racial, political, economic and social life of 20th century Atlanta.
