Collection Description (Extant): Twelve interviews with Mae Street Kidd, a native of Millersburg in Bourbon County, Kentucky. She has been a successful African-American businesswoman and politician. As a young woman she worked for a black-owned cosmetics company out of Chicago; later she served as public relations director and as a sales representative for the Mammoth Life Insurance Company of Louisville, a black owned and operated company. She has also served as a Kentucky state legislator for several terms. Ms. Kidd now resides in Louisville.
