Collection Description (CRHP): This collection includes 11 oral history interviews and essays done for the 2009 Women in the American Experience class at Lindsey Wilson College. Travis M. Jones interviewed Lillian D. Roland. She discussed African American women's challenges in having to fight for recognition both as African American and as women. Marcus Caesar interviewed Warnell Wheat, who discussed life as an African American woman growing in rural Kentucky in the 1960s.
