Collection Description (CRHP): This collection consists of between 40 and 60 total interviews with African American physicians, dentists, and other medical professionals as well as their spouses and children in Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Cities covered include Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, Anniston, and Gadsden. Ellis' work will soon culminate in the book published by the University of Alabama Press.
