Collection Description (CRHP): The collection is comprised of two hundred thirty two 1/4[-inch] reel to reel audio tapes. These cover various aspects of life at U.K. The tapes include graduation speeches for the years 1968 - 1977 and 1982, lectures by visiting political and academic people including the UK Conference of the War and Draft, UK Students for a Democratic Society, the 3rd National Convention of the New American Movement, Karin DeCrow, Dr. Sydney Ulmer, Studs Terkel and a variety of academic topics which were covered by the Student Center Board Lecture Series with speakers such as John Sawhill, Dr David Abernathy, Moyhe Dyan, Sen. William Proxmire, Tom Wicker, Alex Haley, Julian Bond, Stuart Udall and many more.
