Little Rock Central High integration crisis, Federal Bureau of Investigation records

Collection Description (Extant): The files are serials 855, 933, 937, 971, and 990 from Bureau File No. 4412284. They pertain to contempt of court actions stemming from the integration crisis, and are composed mostly of interviews.

Serial 855: Interviews concerning motor caravans from East Arkansas allegedly assembled to demonstrate at Central High School in connection with protest against integration.

Serial 933: Investigation requested by U. S. District Judge Ronald N. Davies to determine responsibility for interference or failure to comply with Federal Court ordered integration.

Serial 937: Investigation of use of National Guard by Faubus and charges of potential violence at Central High School.

Serial 971: Investigation concerning petition by Mrs. Margaret Jackson to convene three-judge court to restrain 101st Airborne and Arkansas Military District from policing, inciting, or interfering with students or operation of Little Rock Central High School.

Serial 990: Investigation concerning injunction enjoining Faubus and others from interfering with peaceful integration in Central High School.
