Repository description (CRHP): Located in the Charles C. Wise, Jr. Library, the West Virginia and Regional History Collection is the largest archive on West Virginia history in existence. According to its web site, it "includes the most comprehensive collection of books and periodicals relating to West Virginia in existence." The archive also includes more than 20,000 feet of manuscript collections, recordings of folk music, and a photograph collection.
