Repository description (CRHP): The "Bibliography of African Americans in Colorado and the West" (Colorado Historical Society, Feb. 2005; http://www.coloradohistory.org/publications/AfAm_Bibliography.pdf) lists a number of oral histories held by the Stephen H. Hart Library at the Colorado Historical Society.
Repository description (extant): Founded in 1879, History Colorado, the Colorado Historical Society brings the unique character of Colorado's past to more than a million people each year through historical museums and highway markers, exhibitions, manuscript and photograph collections, popular and scholarly publications, historical and archaeological preservation services, and educational programs for children and adults. In short, the Society collects, preserves, and interprets the history of Colorado for present and future generations. History Colorado is unique in that is is both a nonprofit agency with its own membership and a state institution located within Colorado's Department of Higher Education.
