Repository description (CRHP): The Tempe location houses an oral history collection, and oral histories pertaining to the Civil Rights Movement are cited in the book Race Work by Matthew C. Whitaker.

Repository description (extant): The Arizona Historical Society has collected and preserved the material remains of Arizona history for well over a century. Today, AHS serves as steward of more than three million objects maintained by our museum and library/archives departments in Flagstaff, Tempe, Tucson, and Yuma.
