Repository description (CRHP): The Mansfield Library oral history collection contains interviews with Senator Mike Mansfield regarding civil rights legislation, interviews about Black Studies at the University of Montana, discussions about the CRM's impact on smokejumping, relationships between African American and Native American civil rights efforts, and other relevant interviews.

Repository description (extant): The K. Ross Toole Archives holds over 800 unique manuscript collections relating to Montana, and especially to western Montana.

Since 1968, the Mansfield library has collected over 2,500 oral history interviews and most are fully transcribed. Subject Strengths:
