Repository description (extant): The U.S. Marshals Museum, Inc. is an independent, non-governmental 501(c)3 organization, governed by a 20-member Board of Directors. Three representatives from the U.S. Marshals Service are appointed by the USMS Director to serve on the board. The U.S. Marshals Museum Foundation, also a 501(c)3 agency, has eighteen members and is responsible for fundraising for the museum.
