AAHGS-NISW's mission is to develop a network of individuals with the common goal of advancing towards a greater awareness of African-American heritage and lineage with the vision to empower individuals, families, and communities by increasing knowledge, cultivating self-awareness, enhancing personal growth and pride, and developing identity.
