Repository description (CRHP): This repository houses numerous oral history collections including several which relate to the civil rights movement. An emphasis for these interviews is on education in New Orleans and civil rights in New Orleans.

Repository description (extant): The Louisiana Collection Reading Room is in room 402, and contains books, periodicals, government documents, local city directories, and other materials related to the history and culture of Louisiana, with a special focus on New Orleans.
