Repository description (CRHP): Several oral histories held at the Museum explicitly address segregation and racism in the U.S. military; a few document involvement in the Civil Rights Movement.

Repository description (extant): The Wisconsin Veterans Museum Research Center collects, preserves, and encourages the use of historical materials that document the role of Wisconsin citizens in military history. Its collections include a military history library and archives that contains published material, manuscript collections, oral history interviews, photographs, maps, and posters pertaining to individual Wisconsin veterans, Wisconsin veterans' organizations, and the Wisconsin National Guard.
