Repository description (extant): The mission of Special Collections is to collect, preserve, and provide access to manuscript collections, a specialized book collection, and the university archives for students and faculty of the University of the Pacific and the general public. The collection development policy for the manuscript and book collections focuses on Western Americana with an emphasis on California history and the northern San Joaquin Valley.
