In the remaining portion of the hymn, the Passion of Our Lord is passed in review, and much of this lyric is in dialogue form, with the Virgin Mary doing most of the speaking both summoning mothers in general to share her sorrows and addressing her Son
-  Transcription: Ayudar, almas queridas/a sentir a vuestro Padre,/que es Jesús Nazareno,/Hijo de la Virgen Madre./El Jueves Santo en la tarde,/cuando a mi Jesús prendieron,/a María, su dulce Madre,/el corazón le partieron./-Adiós, Madre de mi vida,/dice Jesús con amor,/-ya me llevan al suplicio/por culpas del pecador./El Viernes Santo en la tarde/Pilatos lo sentenció,/en presencia de la Virgen,/que leer la sentencia vio./-Adiós, Jesús de mi vida,/prenda de mi corazón,/en público te sentencian/como un hombre malhechor.
