- - Summary of audio segment: Restaurant opens at 5:30 a.m.; serves all three meals; closes at 8 p.m. She gets up at 3 a.m. and leaves at 3:30, goes to market for produce, comes to restaurant; market is on Railroad Avenue and goes to Statewide Produce. Once here, she unloads trunk into the back shed to store the vegetables; then she starts making biscuits. At 6 a.m., the two waitresses come in and she may sit down and nod until 7 a.m.; then she goes into kitchen and peels potatoes, cuts up collards, cabbage, beans, and more.
