Mischa Elman

Mischa Elman (1891–1967) was a Russian-born violin virtuoso whose popularity rivaled that of Fritz Kreisler and Jascha Heifetz. He was known for his sweet, full tone and as an interpreter of Mozart, Beethoven, and works of the romantic era. He began a long association with Victor Records in 1908 and continued recording well into the LP era.
