Looking Beyond Gitmo: U.S. and Foreign Approaches Toward Legal Treatment of Terrorist Suspects

Location: Library of Congress, Madison Building, 6th Floor Mumford Room

The Law Library of Congress will sponsor a panel discussion titled Looking Beyond Gitmo: U.S. and Foreign Approaches Toward Legal Treatment of Terrorist Suspects Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1 – 2:30 p.m. The Mumford Room, on the sixth floor of the James Madison Building 101 Independence Ave. S.E., Washington, D.C. The event is free and open to the public but seating is limited and advance reservations are suggested at (202) 707-9834, bmoo@loc.gov.

Panelists will include: Charles D. Stimson, senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation, and Law Library of Congress legal specialists Clare Feikert, Louis Fisher and Ruth Levush. The panel will be moderated by Peter Roudik, assistant director of legal research and head of the Eastern Law Division in the Law Library of Congress.
