(Sep 10, 2008) A high-ranking official in Costa Rica's Office of the Presidency, Rodrigo Arias, estimated that the U.S.-Central America Free Trade Agreement (US-CAFTA) will enter into effect in Costa Rica in the second or third week of September 2008. He expressed satisfaction that most of the laws required in the Implementing Agenda of the Treaty had already been approved during the first legislative debate on the issue.
