Cataloging Seminar Proceedings Online

The proceedings of the first seminar on cataloging digital documents are now available on the World Wide Web.

The seminar, held at the Library in October, sought to address issues such as integrating existing cataloging tools to describe electronic documents. It explored how the Standard Generalized Markup Language can work with Machine Readable Cataloging, or MARC.

The proceedings present an informed look at the state of an emerging field and raise pertinent questions about its future, according to those in attendance.

The Uniform Resource Locator for the proceedings is: http://lcweb.loc.gov/catdir/semdigdocs/seminar.html.
