    Diary kept by Sacarisen during the Lapland-Yukon Relief Expedition (Manitoba Expedition) whose purpose was to relocate reindeer and import over 70 Norwegian herders from Norway to Alaska in order to introduce reindeer husbandry to Alaska natives. The unsuccessful expedition was intended to relieve a potential famine among the Yukon goldminers and Eskimos. Includes a photocopy of the diary.
